Global Composite Solutions officially launched its new hangar and office complex at a glittering function at the end of March 2009.

The launch was attended by several industry role players, Red Bull representatives as well as members of the media. The occasion also marked the official unveiling of Team 45's modified Edge 540 Red Bull Racer. The modifications were carried out by GCS during the preceeding months and included several re-designed composite components including cowls, turtledeck, leg & wheel spats and a set of extended wingtip fairings. They also applied a special lightweight paint scheme.

Also in attendance was reigning Red Bull Air Race World Champion, Hannes Arch, whose own aircraft was been modified with composite components manufactured by GCS.

The Red Bull girls were present in force and made sure guests "Got their wings..." Superb finger snacks were served accompanied by elegant live music.

The new premises include 600 square meters of production space, 550 square meters of storage and office space as well as the expansion potential of a further 1000 square meters of production space which has been rented out to other aviation tenants.
